Benefit Year
Your benefit year will run one (1) year from the effective date of your
first or new claim.
During this benefit year, you may receive a weekly benefit amount for
each week in which you are unemployed and otherwise meet the eligibility
requirements of the law, until the maximum benefit amount as shown on the
initial determination has been paid to you.
You must wait until the end of the benefit year before you file a new
claim for benefits if you exhaust your maximum benefit amount before the
end of the benefit year. However, in order to be eligible during a second
benefit year, you must earn at least eight (8) times your weekly benefit
amount after the effective date of the first claim. |
