agencies such as the Employment Security Commission that support the
success of your business.

Mission: The South Carolina Employer
Council (SCEC) is a diverse group of business partners that unite
business and industry with organizations in the private and public
sector that share the purpose of enhancing South Carolina’s
workforce, economy, and the quality of life enjoyed by its citizens.
Vision: By aligning stakeholder groups
with available resources that remove barriers to employment,
stimulating continuous improvement, and enhancing workforce
readiness, we will stimulate South Carolina’s overall economy and
meet each business’ ongoing employment needs.
Strategic Direction
State Employer Council: The State
Employer Councils meets quarterly at the SC Employment Security
Commission - C. Lem Harper Building, 631 Hampton Street, Columbia,
SC, where employers share information on a wide variety of issues
and form valuable links between the business community, education,
government, and the workforce.
