After you file an initial claim to establish benefits, you will be paid based on
continued, compensable claims you file on a week-to-week basis.
You must qualify separately for each weekly payment by filing continued claims which
certify to your continuing total or partial unemployment. Benefits are claimed after the
claim week ends. Benefits cannot be paid in advance.
