Magnetic Tape/Cartridge
Effective with the quarter
ending 3/31/05, every employer with 100 or
more employees and every agent that reports wages on a total
of 100 or more employees on behalf of one or more employers
must file wage report information on magnetic media.
The South Carolina Employment Security Commission only accepts quarterly wage data
on magnetic media in the format described in the following publication.

Magnetic
media reporting will be accepted if created exactly as the pamphlet specifies
or you may submit only the data items which our Agency needs by following the
guidelines in the following link:

All tapes must include a properly completed Wage Reporting
Transmittal Sheet. As of March
31, 2005, we will only accept 3480, 3490 or equivalent cartridge tapes.
Reel-to-reel tapes will no longer be processed.
This Agency should be notified prior to submitting the initial tape or cartridge. Any
